The Ian Tyson Inspiration Left Handed

So far so good with this guitar. I consider myself an expanding beginner, and this was a great step up from the entry level guitar I had been learning on. I think it's important to learn on a quality instrument especially as you progress past the beginner stages. This guitar sounds great, looks amazing, but also holds me accountable to playing cleanly. The tone sounds so great when played properly, but it lets you know when you are sloppy, which I think is a good thing. I love the looks, the case included is top notch quality, the setup was perfect when it arrived.

Love supporting Canadian companies (especially these days) and I respect the business model Mackenzie and Marr have established. Provide the benefit to the consumer not an overly crowded supply chain. This may not be made in Canada, but nothing is made in a single country anymore, so don't let this deter you.

I am not a professional player, although I have played for many a year. I own and have owned plenty of guitars including basses and electric's, but always preferred the acoustic. My reason for purchasing this particular guitar was purely selfish! I received a small inheritance from my parents and wanted something that l could play, be proud of and remind me of them! This guitar certainly does all that. My parents used to chuckle when l headed out the door with my acoustic going to friends, a function or an outdoor fire. Although l have only owned this guitar a short while, it is quite apparent that it is a very special guitar indeed! I was surprised the first time holding this guitar at the weight, seemingly a little heavy compared to my other acoustics. Which makes sense being made from the woods used. I hope the smell of the guitar never goes away. It's intoxicating when ever I take it out of the case. The balance is incredible and the neck very comfortable to play, It really is a playable work of art. The projection of the sound though is what really sets this guitar apart from anything l have ever played. It's hard for me to pin down. It makes me smile every time l play it and is quickly becoming my favorite guitar. One thing l am glad l did was have the L R Baggs pickup installed even though it stands proud on it's own , it is a perfect match, simple in fit and function. I really can't say enough good things about this guitar but I'm so happy with it. It warms my heart reminding me every time l play it about my parents and l know they would still be getting a good chuckle out of it! ( one other thing , many many thanks for thinking of us lefties when it came to the making of these guitars! )

Absolutely love my Ian Tyson Inspiration. Looks and sound beautiful. The only problem I Have with it is, because it is the left handed issue, the clear pick guard sent with it is for a right handed guitar. This is the second time I have received the wrong pick guard and I am still waiting for both of the correct pick guards. I hope this gets rectified in the near future.

My Ian Tyson is more than I expected. It came securely wrapped in a box, a solid and attractive guitar case and inside packing.

Once I had her tuned, the play is perfect.

She played like a jewel. Bass perfect, balance treble bang on.

The sound. The sound.... What can I say about the sound. It is so good. The Wee Folks in my Fairy Ring came out, they sang and danced around me.

What more would you want to know.
