Yes Tariffs, No Tariffs, Maybee Tariffs, and Just Plain Nuts Tariffs

For the last few weeks the roller coaster tariff ride has played havoc with the prices we charge our US based customers.

Most of our guitars were delivered from Canada to US address under the duty code "section 321" or "deminimus" meaning there is was customs duty and marginal paperwork. A win-win for MacKenzie & Marr and American buyers.

Then when Trump decided to eliminate section 321 we spent a week working with our accountant and customs broker to re-price our guitars We had to add an average of $200 to cover the new duty. That was Monday. On Friday of the same week Trump announced he had re-instated section 321. We'd wasted the better part of a week's work.We rolled back US prices and issued refunds to those who'd over-paid.

As things stand now we're able to offer duty free delivery to US addresses. The price you see on our site's checkout is the full price you'll pay. No surprises! If the ping-pong tariff policy changes again we'll need to raise our prices but again, we'll make sure that what you pay on our site is the total bill.
