Grand Manan Too is a quality instrument, kudos to the luthiers for an excellent, balanced guitar. The construction is clean, tidy and precisely fitted throughout. The open pore finish is an acquired taste after only having semi-gloss and gloss finished instruments, some will accept it, some not. The maple binding and faux abalone fret markers / rosette are finished very nicely and bring some refinement to an otherwise plain looking instrument.
The notes are articulate and blend seamlessly throughout the fretboard with a lovely long sustain. I look forward to the top ageing into its mature voice. This is where wood and steel strings sing, the Grand Manan Too sings with a beautiful voice.
This guitar is every bit as good as the big American (Martin, Gibson, Taylor) production models.
