The Ian Tyson Inspiration Acoustic GuitarHere at last is my long delayed Ian Tyson Inspiration review:
Advanced age related issues forced me to delay these comments; for this I sincerely apologize:
This assessment was not “ quick” as I did not feel that it would do this fine instrument the justice that it deserves. I did use this instrument for a few gigs and it did use this opportunity to promote this fine instrument. This first tune that I played on it was “Four Strong Winds”; which I finger picked it of course.
The transparent pickguard is a classy touch, and the quality of all materials is 100% first class.
The intonation was bang on, right out of the box and it has remained that way; even trying it at various locations the full length of the fret board; also, there are no vibrations, and the finish on the neck encourages fast and easy hand movements.
Right out of the box, this was the easiest guitar, I have ever played, The tone is rich and mellow sounding, yet with plenty of volume.
The gold plated pen back tuners are simply the best, a joy to use, and using the fretboard is like putting your fingers into soft butter: again, right out of the box.
The cutaway, like the rest of the instrument, is perfectly book matched.
Finally, the case that is included in the price is well constructed beauty.
